SUSSEX MUSICAL TALENT SHOW 2010 RULES
Band/Singer/Solo Artist Section Knock Out Heat Rules:
1. To Perform Live up to a maximum optional 3 tracks original, though covers accepted depending on entry category or up to 16 minute strict set time maximum 2. 5-8 minute change over maximum between musicians on busier heats this may be flexible 3. Amps/mic’s/drum kit equipment supplied by ourselves, Ivy Arch Studios or anyone else must be respected and taken care of and will be checked after each performance carefully any damages will have to be paid for with out argument you will have to sign an agreement before performance to this effect 4. The band knockout heat section will be judged by C.E.O Owen Smith of Redskin Records Ltd and Northbrook College music department tutor Mike Pailthorpe and other tutors and in the finals a top level record producer will also be judging alongside headliner musicians to pick out the winners 5. The knockout heats and semi-finals are 50% crowd ticket votes and 50% judge votes the bands with the most votes/points combined will get through each round with a chance to win the top prizes and trophies for various categories 6. Each band will be judged in 5 categories I. Performance II. Dynamics III. Rhythm IV. Crowd Reaction V. Crowd votes 7. All personal belongs equipment must be looked after and watched at all times management does not accept responsibility for lost or damaged belongings except anything we are responsible for already 8. Please state in an email to info@cravintunez.com what sound requirements microphones extensions equipment you will require minimum 48 hours before your knockout heat date which you will of been notified in advance of we will only provide some amps and drum kit p/a on some of the heats where you can or would like to bring your own on part kit share please also state and we would pay petrol money and refreshments to people that supply equipment for others to share 9. No bad attitude or behaviour is allowed towards staff or anyone at all we reserve the right to cancel any persons entry at any time for this reason or similar as well as change or alter the rules dates times venues within reasonable notification time and layout of the contest for whatever reason at anytime in the show 10. We reserve the right to refuse entry or to perform to anyone that looks on drugs or incapably drunk or unable to co-operate with others within the show at anytime under managements/security staff discretion
DJ/MC/Cru/Producer Section Knockout Heat Rules:
1. Up to 18-minutes or 4 Live tracks (not time pre-mixed or pre-recorded) vinyl/cd/mp3/live digital production mix in set time 2. Either back to back in 2's or 4's with or without MC’s if not solo performance 3. Will be judged by Dj Miss Pink & C.E.O Owen Smith of Redskin Records and Northbrook College tutor Mike Pailthorpe and other guest judges tbc in 5 categories with the best 3-4 Dj’s/Mc’s on each heat with the most judge and crowd votes/points go through to play in the Sussex semi-finals with a chance to get into the final and play alongside top headliner acts that will judge the winners!! (names tbc this month) final will be this September date tbc the knockout heats and semi-finals are 50% crowd ticket votes and 50% judge votes 4. The 5 categories are.. I. Mixing /Production/technique/program II. Tunez selection/originality of mix III. Scratching IV. Vocal use/flow V. Crowd Reaction/Ticket/Votes 5. Please email info@cravintunez.com your Sound System requirements mic’s/decks/cables etc a minimum of 48 hours before your heat date 6.
